Hygiene Care & Maintenance Guide for Sysmed Oxygen Concentrator M50

1. HUMIDIFIER BOTTLE

Change The Water Daily

  1. Open The Cover of The Bottle
  2. Clean The Bottle with Sponge and Running Water
  3. Fill In with Clean Water – Drinking/Distilled/Sterile/RO Not Recommended: Mineral or Saline Water
  4. Place The Cover Back to Bottle and Close Tightly
  5. Fix The Bottle on The Device

DO’S:

  • Keep the oxygen concentrator in a well-ventilated area
  • Keep a 30cm gap between the device and a hindrance
  • Keep it at upright position, even when transporting
  • Intended purpose is to keep as standby unit, then recommended to turned on for 10 to 150 mins once every fortnightly to clean the unit or component such as valve or sieve bed during process of pressurized and depressurize process

DON’T’S:

  • Don’t block the airflow of device against wall / curtain / furniture
  • Don’t share the power with other electric item with using extension cord
  • Keep away the device from heat or open flame area (e.g kitchen area)
  • Don’t smoke near the device
  • Don’t apply oil or grease on the device

2. DEVICE

Weekly: Exterior of the device – wipe and remove dust with a soft damp cloth

Monthly: HEPA filter compartment – wipe and remove dust with a soft damp cloth

OXYGEN CANNULA / OXYGEN MASK

Every 2-3 months:

Replace with a new oxygen cannula (or oxygen mask)

1 - 3 LPM : Oxygen Cannula

> 3 LPM : Oxygen Mask

Durability depending on condition of the product

HUMIDIFIER BOTTLE

Every 2 – 3 months:

Replace with a new humidifier bottle

  • Durability depending on condition of the product

3. PAPER FILTER/ PARTICLE FILTER

  • Particle filter got to be cleaned once a week if daily usage is about 12 to 15 hours
  • Change inner paper filter 3K hours
  • Cleaning mesh filter similar to aircon type every fortnightly if unit being used in 10 to 15 hours daily
  • Durability depending on condition of the product
